Dustwing was created out of real frustration and a simple goal to make sanding cleaner.
Mark, a lifelong handyman from Maine, has spent years renovating and flipping homes alongside his wife, Tracey. Throughout these projects, he consistently ran into the same issue. Sanding created airborne dust that lingered, spread throughout the home, and made even small projects difficult and uncomfortable.
He tried existing attachments designed to reduce dust, including higher-end options, but they did not perform the way he expected.
So he decided to build something better.
During a recent renovation, Mark created his first prototype while working on a sanding project. The difference was immediate. There was little to no dust in the air, and for the first time, sanding did not disrupt the rest of the home. Tracey was able to go about her day just feet away in the kitchen without the usual mess or air quality concerns.
That moment proved the concept.
From there, Mark continued refining the design through real-world use, improving performance and usability with each iteration. What started as a solution for one home became a patented product designed to deliver a cleaner, more controlled sanding experience.
Today, Dustwing is ready for market, built by someone who understands the problem firsthand and designed to solve it for others.
